Shocking Decisions

Back in 2017 over at Sage Decisions, I initiated a project that created a structured process to bring rational thought to decision-making within organisations.

I soon discovered that rational thought is elusive because we’re all partially blinded by a surprisingly large array of cognitive biases.

A very common one is confirmation bias.

As built environment professionals, you’re confronted with all types of situations that can be extraordinarily complex, at times overwhelming, and frequently unclear.

Without an effective decision making framework, we can make very poor choices indeed.

So back in 2017, I created a few resources that focus on a disciplined, results-oriented process to make high-quality decisions by mitigating the adverse effects of hidden cognitive biases.

They are still relevant today and you can download them here for free (no opt in required).
