Designed by Jackson Teece, Brisbane Phoenix is a contemporary take on a traditional Chinese restaurant to produce a modern dining experience.
With Phoenix Restaurant Group already a prominent name in Sydney’s dining sphere, Jackson Teece wanted to take the robust brand presence and tailor it specifically for the surroundings of Brisbane CBD and the Brisbane Quarter precinct.
They devised a concept which took the approach of combining key elements of Phoenix’s brand with a sophisticated twist on a traditional Chinese streetscape.
Using a strong Chinese flavoured palette of red, black, and gold, the interior design creates an engaging and moody ambiance.
The red glow from the pendant clusters creates a symbolic reference to the Chinese lanterns, while dark stained timber dowels emulate the structure of bamboo forest.
The unique 20 seat private dining room boasts a full height book-matched Calcutta marble wall, custom velvet lounge and feature pendant lighting and evokes prestigious Chinese dining experience.
Two additional private dining rooms cater for between 16 – 40 people when combined, these have their own distinctive flair with coffer lit ceilings and timber and brass wall detailing teamed with custom fluted glazing creating a private and intimate dining and function space.
The general dining area is focused on a faster paced Yum Cha and al e carte offering, extensive timber panelling with brass accents form the backdrop for this space, allowing the feature pendant lantern clusters to take centre stage.
Brisbane Phoenix caters to the fast paced yum cha crowds while also appealing to exclusive business clientele, and has become a prominent name in Brisbane’s dining scene.
